How to use simple secrets for natural healing of any diseases

Yes, my belief that you can heal yourself of any diseases by taking charge of what you “put” into your body to strengthen your immune system has been reiterated by this article which I have read. This article is written by a Chinese doctor Tom Wu who has been diagnosed with advanced stages lung cancer when he was 30 years old and was told that he has only a few months to live. But this happened 40 years ago and now Dr Tom Wu who is 70 years old is living a healthy life. Not only his cancer is completely gone, he has never had a cold or other illness for the past 40 years and he has revealed his secrets on how to heal yourself in his first book, Dr Wu’s Principle of Natural Cures.

These secrets revolve around our own body system – the immune system which is already in-built within us to combat any bacteria or viruses which are attacking us and if we learn how to properly nourish and “exercise’ our immune system, you have already discovered the core secret to good health.

Secrets to naturally heal yourself by taking charge of your immune system :

  1. Exercise your bowel movements at least 3 times a day
Remove toxins from your body by having at lease 3 bowel movements every day.
According to Dr Wu, a bowel movement a day is not sufficient to remove the toxins but needs 3 to 4 bowel movements a day to excrete all of the accumulated faeces from your intestine and to reduce stress on your liver and build-up of cholesterol in your body. How do you ensure that you get these bowel movements, leads us to the next secret.

  2. Have a diet of 6 glasses of fruit or vegetable smoothies daily
    This has many benefits :
    - Phyto-nutrients are easily ingested to nourish your body’s cells and immune system. It is recommended to use the whole of the fruit or vegetable – flesh, skin, seeds as they are loaded with phyto-nutrients and most of the fruit seeds contain small amounts of cyanide which can kill bacteria and viruses without the harmful side effects.
    - Provides sufficient fiber for the recommended 3 times bowel movements a day

The recommended time to drink your smoothie is 2 glasses in the morning, 1 before lunch, 2 in the afternoon and finally 1 more before dinner. However, to give time for your body system to adjust, start with at least 3 glasses a day.
Sources of fruits – green or red apples, grapes, berries, pineapples, kiwi, lime, papaya, banana
Sources of vegetables – celery, spinach, carrots
You can try other choice of your favorite fruits or vegetables.

  3. Tan yourself under the sun for 30 minutes daily
Great news for suntan lovers and even better news as according to Dr Wu, do not cover your body with sunblock as we all need sunlight for adequate stores of vitamin D to strengthen our immune system. However, restrict this to only 30 minutes daily. Vitamin D is for preventing colds, osteoporosis and certain types of cancer. Combination of Vitamin A and D can maintain sound bones and teeth and helps to build up resistance against winter’s cold.
Sources of Vitamin A are fish oils, eggs, cheese, alfalfa leaves, spinach and broccoli. There is some evidence that a deficiency of Vitamin A may be related to lung cancer.
Another great secret of successful healing with sunlight is its combination with water. It has been claimed that new bone cells can be formed when sunlight reaches the marrow with the aid of cold water packs especially cold packs from fresh sun-soaked rainwater.

  4. Exercise for at least 30 minutes daily
Just 30 minutes a day is enough to restore and maintain your health as if you exercise more than this will only stress your heart and body. A brisk walk of 30 minutes daily can do wonders for your health as some people can walk themselves out of depression and anxiety.

  5. Hydrotherapy – the water secret
Take a hot shower then with cold water as by alternating hot and cold shower has many benefits -
Facilitate a rush of blood and energy to your body
    - Boosts your immune system
    - Improves blood circulation and metabolism
Here is how you do it :-
Three minutes under hot water followed by 30 seconds of cold water and repeat 2 more times.
Some health farms prepare two baths, one with cold and the other with hot water. On the floor in front of the cold bath is a footbath of hot water and likewise on the floor in front of the hot bath is a footbath of cold water. When you take the cold bath, your feet will be soaked in the hot water and when taking the hot bath your feet will be soaked in the cold water. You repeat this process – three minutes in the hot and one minute in the cold, finishing up with the cold. It has been claimed that it is great for varicose veins, piles and pelvic troubles.

  6. Drink water according to your lifestyle and in the proper way
There is no fast rule as to how much water to drink daily as it depends on individual’s lifestyle. If you are working in an air-condition environment, drinking 6 glasses of water daily is enough but if your work involves a lot of traveling and moving around, you need to drink 8-10 glasses a day. However if you are under the sun most of the time, have at least 10-12 glasses.
How you drink your water plays an important part and Dr Wu recommends that the correct way is to sip it little by little to give your body cells time to absorb the water as if you were to gulp the whole glass, the cells cannot absorb it and the water will be excreted as urine.

  7. Eat according to your blood type.
This secret has also been written by Dr. Peter Adamo in his book
Eat Right for your Type” by Dr. Peter Adamo which focuses on enabling your body to heal itself through fasting, diet, hydrotherapy and exercise.
Dr Wu wrote that people with blood type O should only eat a certain amount of meat as if they eat only vegetables for a long time, their body might not be able to absorb the nutrients needed to boost their immune system. He recommended a diet of 75% vegetables, 10% fruits, 10% meat, seafood and goat’s milk and should avoid cow’s milk and 5% grains.
Blood group A should increase their diet of grains and fruits and to avoid milk and meat. Blood group B to avoid meat and group AB to avoid chicken and beef.

  8. Eat in natural tandem with your biological clock
If we listen to our body carefully, it gives us signs or signals when it is time to eat, sleep and wake up and if you consistently ignore such signals, you are putting your organs at risk, stressing them to lose their natural balance which can result in accumulation of toxins and wastes, weakening your immune system leaving your body vulnerable to attacks of bacteria and viruses.

Dr Wu said that our biological clock is divided into three time zones.

From 4am to noon is when you should be emptying your bowels, so prepare yourself a diet pack with fiber in the morning – fruit and vegetable smoothies as suggested earlier.
From noon to 8pm, your body will optimally absorbs food, so lunch is the most important meal.  A vegetable salad with grains is highly recommended with fish or boiled eggs We should try to avoid meat at dinner as the amino acids in the meat can disrupt your sleeping patterns and try to have your dinner by 6pm.
From 8pm to 4am, the nutrients and energy from food will be channeled throughout your body organs and the secret to a restful sleep is between 10pm and 2am, as this is the time your immune and self-healing system are functioning at its optimal.

Taking charge of your health involves a natural, simple and holistic approach by learning to nourish your body through proper nutrition, exercise and taking control of your lifestyle. These are the simple secrets which all of us know or have heard of but never really give them serious thought and consistent effort to to use them to heal ourselves but instead search high and low for a cure when the cure is already within us.

Nothing can be more important or necessary to know than the science of nutrition, so let your medicine be your food and your food your medicine”. – Hippocrates
